Car Crap
I took my car in for it's annual safety and emissions inspection, getting up at 7:30 on Saturday so I could have it there first thing when they opened. Getting up early sure makes the day seem long, who knew there were that many hours in a weekend day? Still, I'll take a shorter day under my covers any time. Anyway, when I went back to pick it up they informed me I was exempt from the emissions testing because I had driven less than five thousand miles in the last year. So I'm thinking great I don't have to pay for the inspection. How silly I was to think that I as a consumer was getting a break as I was quickly brought back to Pennsylvania reality when the car tech guy told me that there is still a fee, though reduced, for an exemption. Only in this state would you be charged for something you are exempt from. I did save about $20 but still, a fee for something you don't need? PUH-LEEZE.
