Egotistical HasBeen

Ralph Nader. Really? Are we really seeing him inject himself into another election? This one time crusader against the automobile industry is now just an embarassment and needs to just go away. This man could not be more illrelevant to politics and it's sad to watch someone who at one time had a resepctable reputaion now just look silly on the national stage. Him and his Nader-Tards need to get over themselves and should instead use their energy for realistic purposes and help elect a Democratic president.

Decisions

First day back at work. Issues, drama, same old shit. Do I poke the ice pick in an ear or an eyeball?

Info Re: Me

Feeling better. My medicine trio of Robitussin, Tylenol Severe Cold, and Nyquil has kept me delightfully loopy and seems to be working. Jeff was able to get me off the couch and took me out to breakfast today to remind me what daylight looks like.

And what's with having to stand in line at the pharmacy to get over the counter medicine and show ID while signing your name? Back in the day, one could grab cold medicine off the shelf and pay for it at the checkout lane without being suspected of making crystal meth.

Haven't shaved in a week, probably will tomorrow because I am looking pretty scruffy and perhaps a bit scary. Although Jeff pointed out today that there are no gray hairs in my facial hair yet so if I was ever to have a beard I should do it now. But I will opt for my boyish good looks instead of the sophistication factor even though I won't be as cool as Greg.

Ya Know What I Hate?

I hate it when you take what seems like an eternity to get yourself arranged on the couch with everything you need to settle in for a day of rest and germ fighting, your ass in a good place nestled in the cushions and boxers not bunching up in an awkward feeling way, pillow positioned exactly right, tissues close by, cat fed, and you remembered to visit the bathroom before settling in, but then your work and preperation goes down the drain in a sudden realization that your cup of coffee is still on the kitchen counter and the remote is on the other side of the room.

That's what I hate.

Sickie McSickster

UGH, my cold has turned into a whole chest, head, and nasal germ party. I am a phlegm factory churning out goo at maximum production today. Today is all about my couch, the TV, soup, and medicine.

Organs, Etc

I wish my heart and brain could work together more. Then I would know which to follow and life would be easier.

I'm off today for Presidents Day. I did go in for an hour or so to tie up some loose ends because I decided to take a few days off. I need the rest and break from work. I carried over some vacation time from last year so I figured I could burn a few days.

I want to be a superdelegate. This election is the first time I have heard of a superdelegate. But it sounds like some kind of superhero so I want to be one.

Another school shooting. He bought the guns legally. Yeah civillians need guns. "sigh"

I wonder how many days I will go without shaving this week, this past Friday was last whisker scraping day.

"That spells free -- credit report dot com baby"
I sing along to the credit report-dot-com commercials. My favorites are the one in the seafood restaurant, especially the look from the old lady, and the one where they buy a car and his expression at the end while shaking his head to the beat. So it's not only catchy tunes on the radio to which I dance around my apartment.

Yes I'm waaaaaaay too easily amused.

Happy Heart Day

I took today off so Jeff and I could spend the day together relaxing, snuggling, and relaxing some more.

Yay for special days!

Clinton Vs Obama

One we know way too much about and one we don't know anything.

But still, I'm rooting for Hillary. I hope she gets her much needed victories in Texas and Ohio. I think she can and will make tough decisions while Obama strikes me as someone who is afraid to offend anyone and thus will back down too often or not be aggressive enough. And while no politician can keep all his or her promises, I think Hillary offers the best hope. Her experience and husband will be valuable and i like her stances on gay issues.

Workage Suckage

So another day in the daily drama circus that is my job has produced an interesting occurance. A complaint letter was sent into our main website about yours truly. Now in my position I get to deal with my fair share of loonies and pissed off people. But this person was so over the top her letter could not be taken seriously. (If you ever want to be taken seriously by a company you are complaing to, just be factual and to the point because ramblings just get laughed at.) It was a rambling diatrabe that went on and on claiming that when she called in on three occasions I just laughed at her, among other things. I'm sure I was laughing at her in my head, but not outright. Anyway, long story short she demanded a few things in response. Two of them included a formal apology from me and then she demanded I be fired and called me the banks worst enemy. I'm drafting the apology now, but this is all I came up with:

And We Ate It Too

Jeff and I had DInner tonight with Alison and Paul. Dinner was awesome and I made a cake. (a real cake too, not from a box, Grace!) I even made the frosting. Below is the yummy result of my labor.

Thunder however passed on cake in favor of his bone.

No Shit

Catching up on news sites and seeing stupid and or obvious headlines/statements

-- Body fat determines need for diet
-- Obese drivers less likely to use seatbelts
-- Anger lingers over Iraq invasion
-- Tornado victims worry

Moods

I've through every mood you can think of recently. I don't seem to have my head on straight (or gay) lately.

AlI I Needed Was A Simple Office Supply Order

....*beep beep*, *click* "Hi this is Brent"

Employee: "Brent, on this supply order can I order some feminine sanitary napkins?"
Me: "Um, uh, that's probably not an Office Depot type thing."
Employee: "ok"

Am I not up to date on employee perks? Did they put one of those aisles in the office supply stores?

Why me?
