"He Ain't Around Neither"
and " Umm I don't have a pen handy can you just call back, Brent should be off the phone in a few minutes."
This is behavior from an adult employee who I had to try to "coach" today on her phone skills. She was speaking to a million dollar client. The 'ain't around' comment was made after the client asked for another person in my office who was out of the office.
-Sigh-

I have one just like that. It has been a slow, painful process to get her to be, well, appropriate with clients, let alone co-workers.

How could she not have a pen handy? How could she not have a "hold" button on the phone!
YIKES.
My co-workers are not so much "dumb," but gossipy, back stabbing, thinking they are right, not trusting that everyone else has a reason and a purpose for what they are doing. JUST PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN AND DO YOUR OWN JOB AND DON'T WORRY OR QUESTION EVERYONE ELSE!!! That's what I am screaming in my head every day.

Yea, but you are meaner and say more dirty words than me. Of course, I have everyone fooled into thinking I am nice...so...people would be more shocked by me than you. :)
