Can I Just Tell You...

I make a damn good Turkey Lasagna.

Alison, Paul, Jeff and I had a great dinner tonight. Good food and good conversation. I love spending time with my favorite Pittsburghers.

This Is The Same Person Who Says The Size Of The Military Needs To Increase

From The Associated Press:
(Washington) Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, caused a stir at a Senate hearing Wednesday when he said he believes homosexual activity is immoral and should not be condoned by the military......
".......we should respect those who want to serve the nation but not through the law of the land, condone activity that, in my upbringing, is counter to God's law."

God's law ?? -- Puhleez. God is just the best excuse for people to give and hide behind as reasons for their own hatred.

It's a flawed misguided policy steeped in prejudice and counter productive when you are hurting for soldiers. Perhaps the next Prez will do the right thing.

Issues - And No I'm Not Cranky

Laundry room etiquette:
So I'm doing laundry yesterday and some laundry-tard that lives in my building decided that his or her laundry was more important than mine because when I returned to the laudry room to pick up my shirts they were sitting in a wet pile on the folding table. Evidently waiting two minutes for me to get my clothes was too long. Now I don't like people who do not get their laundry out promptly either but I don't care if Jesus Christ himself is waiting for a washer in order to get spilled holy wine out of his toga, nobody should touch someone else's laundry. So the little devil on my shoulder told me to simply lift up the lid on this persons washer thus stopping the cycle and letting their clothes soak for the next 30 minutes till they came back. Gee hope they had more quarters. Yeah that's right, when it comes to my laundry I can be one bad mofo homo.

Meetings:
I am not in any way shape or form a morning person. No really it's true. Today I had to get up an hour early for a "breakfast" meeting at work. Not only that I had to pick up the "breakfast" which turned out to be bagels and coffee. I guess the few hundred million in profits this year couldn't let us splurge on muffins too. Anyway, it was all for a useless meeting in a conference room that filled with more and more hot air everytime some butt kisser opened their pie hole and endlessly droned on about nothing. It was supposed to be informational and morale boosting yet I learned nothing new and my morale is still in the crapper. We'll probably have another meeting to discuss the failure of this meeting. Ugh

Happy freaking Monday

My Baby Has Been Sold

My motorcycle has now been sold. My little 750cc baby. I will miss it, it was my favorite toy. I had some good times and nice rides through lower Michigan, mostly with my riding buddy Fletch. But it never made the move with me to Pittsburgh so I decided to sell. I kept my helmet so perhaps someday I will have another.

Surprised? Really?

President Bush is reported to be stunned by the criticism of him and his administration by Alan Greenspan.

He is taking it in the manner you would expect from someone of his IQ.

The World Would Be A Better Place If:

Everyone took a chill pill once in a while
There were no guns
I worried less
The rest of the Republicans would come out of the closet....or stall
Civil rights was actually an issue that went past election time
Able people going up one floor actually walked rather than delaying my trip up in the elevator

Your thoughts?...keep the list going

Miss Me?

So after being admonished, scolded, and threatened by Alison about the lack of posting to my little online home, I thought I would end my short exile and return to the artificial real fake world of the internet. I see by some comments that I was missed. Oh how special I feel. I may need to take some time off from blogging to compose myself and bask in the the love. Just kidding, done being lazy. Lots has been happening lately and life has been busy. Work has been hectic as usual, a little more so recently with people off on medical leave and vacations. Jeff and I have been on the road a lot the last several weekends either on vacation, for softball, or most recently for a wedding.

Greg (cousin) and Jenna got married in an outdoor ceremony in Michigan this past Saturday. Jeff and I made the trip arriving late Friday night for the Saturday nuptials. It was a short trip as we left after breakfast Sunday morning. There was one dark horrific moment at breakfast when I grabbed a muffin that looked yummy from the outside but much to my utter horror was actually a carrot muffin !! I'm ok now, but jeez a little grossness warning would be nice. Anyway back to the wedding...The bride was beautiful in her long white dress as she walked the aisle to music being played on a harp towards the handsome groom standing beside the canal. Alison, Paul, and Matt were bridesmaid and groomsmen. I was an usher and had the honor of walking Grace down the aisle. Some pics will be forthcoming as they arrive and I get the film from my disposable camera developed. It was also a time for Jeff to meet the Michigan members of my family. He was abit nervous but of course all went well because he is agreat guy and I have a great family. I look forward to visiting again soon.
