Back From The Coast
Allright, finally an update, although a quick one because my power is out at home and I am pilfering the internets at Alison and Paul's house.
The Jersey Shore was AWESOME. We had a great time being beach bums by day and boardwalk bums by night. We rode a couple roller coasters, walked miles of boardwalk and streets of Wildwood and Ocean City, did a little shopping, and generally relaxed and had fun. We even rented bikes one morning and rode for a bit beofre hitting the beach. We had a great night on the boardwalk in Ocean City on Saturday that included a nice dinner celebrating Jeff's birthday. Oh and five words to describe the awesomeness of the boardwalk -- Soft Serve Banana Ice Cream !! Thunder had an awesome time too, running on the beach at night and through the neighborhood in the day meeting all the local doggies.
The drive there and back was pretty uneventful except for a small (20 mile) jaunt in the wrong direction on the way down. That coupled with a stint sitting in a ginormous traffic jam in Philidelphia made the drive in a bit longer than we would have liked. Coming home the only hitch was the realization that we left my two bed pillows at the hotel -- DOH! I went all through the room making sure we hadn't forgotten anything but failed to look at the pillows that blended in so well on the bed.
Overall it was just a fun and relaxing time and I look forward to more trips to the shore.

Thanks for the pic of Jeff. Great smile! Did Thunder stay behind when you went shopping/dinner/coasters?

yeah Thunder is a really good boy and has no problems staying by himslef. We would take him out and explore in the morning, mid-day and at night at a minimum. Plus our hotel was two blocks from the beach/boardwalk so we were around to taje him out and play a lot. He had a good time hiking through the sand on the beach at night with us.
