Time To Give Up The Keys

A little old lady, she had to have been about 247 yrs old, thought the sidewalk on Forbes Ave by my work was part of the street and tried to park her car on it. While doing this she slowly pulled up on it and took out a parking meter with the front of her car as she pulled up over the curb. She literally had half her car on the sidewalk and half in the road. Now they are pretty wide, but they are also clearly sidewalks. She looked like a nice lady and I felt sorry for her, but it may be time to give up driving.

I have to know, was the taking out of parking meter artistic license, or reality? I have this wonder image of a car parked over a bent parking meter, and I so wish it were true.

Nope, just destruction of city property due to some really bad driving.

After doing hair for 30 years, I've seen a lot of my customers get that way. It's comical and scary at the same time!
