Good Times
It's been a great weekend. I just got home and am ready to crash in my comfy bed.
Friday at work I was treated to lunch and birthday cupcakes by my coworkers. I even got birthday greetings faxed in from my former office in Michigan. I also got calls, some singing, from loved ones to make my day special. At night I rode roller coasters and shared cocktails with friends.
Saturday I was treated to a fantastic dinner by Alison and Paul at a favorite restaurant of mine. But what really made the night special was the dessert after dinner back at their house. Alison made me a banana birthday cake ! Now this is a big deal because Alison doesn't always appreciate the yumminess of banana goodies like I do and she didn't just go out and buy a banana cake, she actually made one. So I was feeling pretty special.
Today I attended and volunteered at a Memorial Day Festival put on by my softball league. It was a good time and we had several hundred people in attendance. You pay $25 and that gets you all the free beer and food you want as well as live entertainment by local muscians. There was also a music pavillion with dancing and tents representing various GLTB organizations. The weather was great and a fun time was had by all.
Now I need sleep
