We missed you today Brent! Pa got a special honor at the Memorial Day Parade for having been a founding member of the Dexter Legion 60 years ago! We were very proud of him. There was a good speaker who was an orthopedic surgeon in Iraq and he described how they can get to the front, in the midst of battle and set up a mobile operating room in the middle of the desert. wow... We had the usual picnic at Pa's on a beautiful day. The top picture in your blog looks like what Pa was describing to us-they were playing cards when they landed at Normandy, threw their cards down, waded through the water and onto the beach and into battle-quite incredible-he was only 20 years old!
Can't wait to see you this weeked!! Gracie

That orthopedic surgeon who spoke, the one who was in Iraq...he was the one who did my knee surgery! small world.
