In my unofficial capacity of the person who coworkers come to (we can't have locks on our doors) bitch about other coworkers I learned two new phrases today.
Dippity Fuck --> as in "I don't give a dippity fuck if she has a problem with me taking a long lunch."
Come-To-Jesus --> "If she pulls that shit and tries to blame me, there will be a come to jesus at this branch today.
(I keep a loaded tranquilizer gun handy for this particular person.)
Also at work today we lost another person who stopped by to let us know it was his last day with the company. Reasons were numerous but it boiled down to the familiar story of promises not kept. Policies seem to changed regularly, pay structures get tweaked, and conditions change. Although at this company it seems to happen a lot. It is like there is a person who has to justify their job and therefore comes up with changes. The consequence can be being told one thing during the hiring process and then reality being quite different down the road. That can be bad if the main reasons you jumped ship to a new company was "tweaked" not to your benefit. Sometimes entrenched corporate culture is not flexible enough to allow common sense in and the same old tunnel vision prevails.
