The WorkTards Are At It Again
The Drama at work has increased faster than the rate at which "W" loses brain cells. Prego, whose last day is tomorrow then she is on maternity leave, has decided to try to make herself look good before she leaves even if at the expense of others. I'm sure even her unborn child can see that it's too little too late. People have been paying attention since you started three months ago and two weeks of real effort can't hide your lazy ways. Also Crazy has been very cold towards me lately. I'm not complaining mind you, but word is she resents me taking charge of everything.
Crazy had a fit today because my regional asked me to train two new hires for upcoming branch openings. One is in the same position as me and the other is in her position. She can't understand why I would be asked to train someone for her job and wants to email the bosses and ask for an explanation.
Dear Crazy,
First of all, that is not an email conversation, it is at least a phone call but probably an in-person chat. Second, are you really that un-self aware as to why you were not asked to train someone? Do you really want to invite criticism? Suck it up, learn from it, and improve. If you need help or guidance, ask for it. Everyone else that works in our region reaches out to one another all the time for help and you can too, just like I have told you numerous times. And third, be the professioanl adult you are supposed to be and talk to me about any issues you have with me or our office. I will listen and deal with you in a professional manner. Because frankly, everything you think you are saying in confidence gets back to me anyway.
