Remembering
Has it been five years? According to a poll done by the Washington Post, 30% of Americans could not name the year the attacks occured. My first thought was that can't be right. But then I figured that it is the date, 9-11, that is forever ingrained in our minds. Nine-Eleven is all that needs to be said or read to have that day come back as clearly as it was yesterday. I know I remember where I was and what I was doing when word of the attacks began consuming everyone that day as the destruction and carnage palyed out on TV screens for all to see. It's one of those life events that I use to recall how long ago something occured since 2001 is a reference point that will never be forgotten. And never forgotten also, the innocnet people who perished that day shall remian in the minds of us all.
