Purchases

I splurged on a couple items yesterday. I bought a leather chair for my living room. It is the matching piece to my couch that I couldn't quite afford when I bought the couch last fall. So that comes Tuesday and I'm pretty excited. I'm also going to hit IKEA tomorrow and see if any little things catch my eye. I know I want to get another lamp, perhaps a reading lamp to go next to the new chair.

I also bought a new pair of running shoes which I desperatly needed. I will never buy shoes again from a large big box store. I have been spoiled from the experience at a local retailer. I went to one of the neighborng businesses where I work, an independant athletic shoe store. The salesman actually asked to measure my feet, had me roll up my pant legs and walk back and forth in my socks. He noticed I tend to roll my right foot a bit when I walk and after additonal measurements, suggested a couple different pair of my chosen brand, Asics. He explained why these were the best and talked about the support features etc. It is nice getting the expert knowledge and attention that one gets from the smaller stores. And since I worked in the same developemnt, they gave me 10% off. The prices were not much higher, actually about the same.

I's so happy that you have a sleep chair for Grandpa-Yea!- and just in time too...:)
Ha Ha Brent!
I love small business's too-they are so worth the oftentimes very little extra money. I used to have this very cool gift store in Milford-visited it often-loved the service, the great things in it and especially the owner :). Best job I ever had :)

Ummm Yeeeeahhhhh, I don't know how much of a sleep chair it would be.

I miss that store too. What a chapter in life that was.

I remember this nice pizza store there in Milford with the good lookin' delivery guy. What was his name? Now that was hometown!

And a little red Honda with cool rims zipping around town delivering hot pies.
