I have strong convictions
There are people in my life who like to put vegetables in desserts, carrot cake, zuchinni things, etc. I won't name names, but you know who you are. Now I like some vegetables, corn, broccoli, green beans, and such. But I've said it before and I'm saying it again, veggies don't belong in desserts. Sugars, chocolate, frostings, creams -- these are the things that go into desserts.
Today, while house sitting I am taking advantage of Alison and Paul's baking equipment and making chocolate chip cookies. And there is no wierd stuff in them, just chocolate gooey yummilicious goodness.
There, I'm glad I was able to deal with this serious issue that affects all our lives. Next topic after we recover from this important debate: Diet pop.

Just get the bucket from Sam's Club. Just dough and chips. Nothing else needed. Nothing better.

Brent failed to mention that the cookies he made (while good, and appreciated) were the pre-made dough kind that you just peel apart and bake. I'm just sayin'.
And, you better be prepared for a fight on the diet pop issue.
Lastly, if we hadn't told you there was zuchinni in that choclate cake you never would have known. It's fine if you want to reject veggies in desert on principal, but don't try to fool us that taste has anything to do with it. ;)
ps. Mega-thanks again for keeping an eye on the wonder-kitties.

I agree with 100% my friend!! As for diet soda, it doesn't make a lick of sense at all!

So, my grandma had a green jello recipe that had cabbage/cole slaw as the top layer. Sounds gross...but it is good. :) This might send you over the edge.

Coming from a man who eats banana ice cream-honestly-and you worry about what fabulous cooks put in their fabulous desserts...And I also have to say to my dear sweet nephew and daughter-FAKE chocolate chip cookies-where did I go wrong.....

But the Nestle dough ( I had good intentions of homemade) has to be placed two inches apart on the cookie sheet. That takes skill.

hey, how did i get thrown in to this debate...i'm not the one who made FAKE choc chip cookies!! I made REAL zuchinni cake!!

they were not FAKE. They were freaking pieces of chocolate heaven in your mouth. You were dragged into this because you are one of those people. Those that put veggies in dessert. Make me some homemade peanut clusters and we can put all this ugliness behind us !
