How much longer till 2008?
Our elected leader, who really wasn't elected and couldn't lead you out of a room with only one door with flashing arrows pointing at it, vetoed stem cell research funding claiming to "protect life." Do you think he even begins to understand the irony of someone like him using the phrase "protecting life?" I know of a lot of soldiers, civillians, repressed groups, people standing on roofs during hurricanes, and people with devastating illnesses that would like some protecting.

Be careful what you wish for! It could be worse. Even as bad as it already is! I don't see anyone or anything on the horizon who musters any hope yet for 2008. So far, the only one with a glimmer is Gore and his track record can come back to haunt him.
