Work drama
I knew the day was going to be excrutiatingly long when I was already checking the clock at 9:20 this morning. Started the day by learning that after the company recently put a lot of the managers, including me, on a monthly incentive plan rather than the traditional performance quarterly bonus plan, they then cut the payouts for referrals on the plan. I knew there was something behind the change. I knew it wouldn't be for the better of most like was promised. I could go on and on about how shocked I am but it's so typical it doesn't even faze me.
Current mood = annoyed but motivated to polish resume
But then the second part of the day: My manager who has been with the company six months interviewed at her old company today. Not surprising, the more I think about it the more I think the office would be better off. I was told this by someone who she told in confidence and was sworn to secrecy. HA.
Current mood = so tired of BS. But realizing drama with new people can workout good for the guy with experience.
