Serenity Now ...

How do you deal with someone who is much older than you and you have to train them or more specifically, "change their behavior? This person has been in banking much longer than you, thinks they know everything there is to know, and has made it clear that they do want to learn the operational aspects because it would take away time from sitting at their desk and passing time by making colorful binders for filing things?

I am done asking this person for some time to go over some procedures or trying to set aside time. It is my job to make sure she knows certain aspects of the job, and Monday is ultimatum day. I will tell her we do the training Monday or she gets put in the "employee issues" section of my weekly report that I have to send to the regional manager.

I have better things to do, if you can't be a professional, I'm going to tattle.

Tell her to get over it...that was then this is now...Time for some brain exercizes....

It's probably an age thing. I experience that from time to time. It shouldn't be though as we're getting up there. She'll learn the hard way...
