Flipping The Bird
Does it count as getting the finger if someone points it sideways instead of straight up? I was given a sideways bird today simply because, being from this planet, I know how to proceed at a four way stop. But does a sideways finger have the same potency as an upright? Was I totally put in my place or just kind of? Is it a lazy persons flip off? Should I be just a little offened, like screw you but not too much. Wonder if there is any research out there on this important subject?

I believe the sideways bird is better known as the "urban bird", sort of a gang-symbol-slash-offensive-gesture all wrapped in one! Nice work on receiving one of the lesser-known flip-offs!

Yea good work Brent I've heard of the urban bird but never seen it. I am damn impressed.

Matt, you should come up with your own version, kind of a suburban/country bird. I just give the Team America Sign and people seem to get out of my way pretty quick.

I always thought of it as "I'm giving you the bird but don't shoot me" bird.
