Bicycle go bye bye
I sold my bicycle today after listing it on craigslist.com for a few days. It was a nice bike, a Trek 1200 road bike, but I figure that come next spring I will buy a more durable bike for riding the hills and off-road trails in Pittsburgh. It also puts a few bucks in my pocket now. I have wanted to give mountain biking a try for awhile and from what I hear there are some good areas in Pittsburgh for it, and Alison showed me one spot in particular. I will need someone to ride with so I will get Paul out there with me. He does not know that yet, but he will obey and come with me.

OK. That's the second time you have mentioned Pittsburgh. I'm starting to think it's a done deal. They just recently changed an old law and now will sell beer by the case on Sundays. Must have been what you were waiting for.

OK, now that I am out of shock mode, I have gotten into my normal mode of making sure I am fully aware and approve of everything my adult family does :). Alison took me to the South Side while we were in Pittsburgh this weekend and it is very cool. I can totally see you living there-very fun, active, young place and very safe appearing :). We also saw lots of bikers so you will definately have to get another bike soon-those hills will be a great challenge. We even picked out a couple places where you should live (after your initial stint at the Oehler Boarding House-we stayed there this weekend and they served the best homemade peach cobbler-fresh from their tree). Did you know you can't buy beer and liquor at the same store in Pittsburgh and you can't buy any of it in the grocery store-you're going to have to plan ahead.....:)
